The situation

Chipman is a family-run hauling business working across MetroWest, from a single mattress up to a full estate cleanout. Junk removal is about as urgent as trade work gets: somebody has a garage full of things that need to leave, usually before a closing date or a move, and they want a number and a time.

A visitor in that state is not reading. They are scanning for three facts — do you cover my town, are you open, and how do I get a price — and they will leave the moment those are not obvious. Anything on the page that is not one of those three is competing with them.

Chipman Junk Removal website hero — point at it, we'll haul it today
Dispatch status, coverage, and the number all sit above the headline, before a visitor has scrolled at all.

What got built

A deliberately loud site built for a handset. A standing bar above the header carries dispatch hours, coverage, and the phone number, so the three facts that matter are on screen before anything else loads into view. The headline does the rest of the work in six words: point at it, we'll haul it today.

The navigation is short on purpose — home, what we take, service area, about, and a free quote button held apart in green so it never blends into the row. Nothing in the structure asks the visitor to hunt.

  • Dispatch hours stated up front: Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm
  • Coverage named rather than implied — Holliston, Hopkinton, Framingham, Natick and the rest of the fifteen-plus towns served
  • A what-we-take page, so the awkward question gets answered without a call
  • A dispatch panel carrying towns served, quote turnaround, and free-quote pricing
  • Click-to-call on the number at every breakpoint

How it is built

Static HTML, no framework, no content management system. For a business whose site has to open on a phone in a driveway with one bar of signal, that is not a stylistic preference — it is the difference between a call and a bounce.

The visual treatment is louder than the rest of the portfolio, and that was the brief. High contrast, heavy type, and a green quote button that never changes position. A junk removal site competing for the same-day job cannot look genteel.
