Services

A free audit of the website you already have.

A real one, on your actual site, written by hand. No cost, no obligation, and no requirement that you buy anything afterwards.

Why this is free

Because it is the honest version of a sales call. Most people asking about a new website do not actually know what is wrong with the current one. They know the phone is quieter than it used to be, and somebody told them the site looks dated.

An audit replaces that guesswork with specifics. Sometimes the answer is a rebuild. Often it is three fixes to the site you already own, and I would rather tell you that than sell you something you do not need. A rebuild sold to somebody who needed a redirect and a faster image is a bad trade for both of us.

It is also the least risky way for you to work out whether I know what I am talking about, before any money changes hands.

What the audit covers

  • Speed, measured on a phone. Not a desktop score on fibre. What the site actually does on a handset with an ordinary connection, and which images or scripts are responsible.
  • Mobile behaviour. Whether the number is tappable, whether the layout holds, whether anything overflows sideways, and whether the important thing is above the fold or four scrolls down.
  • Local search. Titles and descriptions, whether services have their own pages, whether your towns are named anywhere, and whether the site and your Google Business Profile agree with each other.
  • The Google Business Profile itself. Category, services, photos, posts, questions, reviews. This is often where the biggest gap is.
  • Conversion paths. How many taps from landing to contacting you, whether forms work, whether anything is broken, and whether the site asks for the call at all.
  • What is worth fixing first. Ordered by what will move the phone, not by what is easiest to sell.

What you receive

A written document, in plain language, covering what is working, what is broken, and what to fix in what order. Each item says what it is, why it matters for your business specifically, and roughly what it takes to fix.

Every item is written so another developer could act on it. That is deliberate. If you hand the audit to whoever built your current site and they fix it, the audit did its job.

We talk it through on a twenty-minute call. If you would rather just read it and go away, that is a perfectly good outcome.

What it is not

Not an automated scan. Anyone can run a scoring tool and email you a report full of red circles about render-blocking resources, and none of it tells a plumber why the phone is quiet. This is a person looking at your site and your profile and writing down what is actually wrong.

Not a pitch in disguise. There is no obligation and no follow-up sequence. If the honest answer is that your site is fine, the audit says your site is fine.

Not a guarantee. Nobody can promise a ranking position, and anyone who does is selling something.

Who should ask for one

Anyone with a live site who suspects it is underperforming. It is most useful if you are already getting some traffic and few calls, if you have never checked what your site does on a phone, or if you are weighing a rebuild and want to know whether you genuinely need one.

If you have no website at all there is nothing to audit, but the same twenty-minute call is still worth having. The pricing is published so you can read it before we ever speak.

Twenty free minutes. Bring your worst website.

Or no website at all. A free 20-minute consult, a straight answer, and zero pressure either way.
